Privacy policy
StackerDecks lets you collect posts from around the web into slideshows (“decks”), organize them into collections, and embed them on other sites. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, name, username, profile picture and anything you add to your profile (bio, company, websites). If you sign in with Google or X, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service. We never receive your Google or X password.
- What you create. Decks, cards, collections, comments, likes, follows and the images you upload or capture.
- What you capture with the Stackit button. When you press Stackit on a page, the extension sends that page's address, title, description and the media you can choose from. It sends nothing when you don't press it, and it does not track your browsing.
- Views of decks. When a deck is shown on StackerDecks or embedded on another site, we record that it was loaded and which cards were viewed, for how long, on what kind of device, and the site and page it was shown on. Deck owners see these totals. Raw view records are deleted after about 90 days.
- Technical data. Basic logs (IP address, browser, errors) that keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To run your account and show your decks and collections the way you set them (public, unlisted or draft).
- To send email you ask for or need: sign-in codes, security notices and notifications you can turn off.
- To show deck owners how their decks are viewed.
- To prevent abuse, fix problems and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in from abuse. Embedded decks on other sites do not set cookies that identify you.
Who processes data for us
We use these providers to run StackerDecks. Each processes data only to provide its service to us:
- Clerk (sign-in and account security)
- Vercel (hosting and image storage)
- Neon (database)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Sentry (error reports, when enabled)
- Upstash (rate limiting)
- Google and X (only if you choose to sign in with them)
What others can see
Your username, profile and public decks and collections are visible to anyone. Unlisted decks are visible to anyone with the link. Drafts and trashed decks are visible only to you and the people you add to that deck.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your decks, collections and profile at any time.
- Delete your account from your account settings, or by emailing us. We remove your profile and personal details and take down your decks.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing info@stackerdecks.com.
Children
StackerDecks is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users.
